In September 2006, at the request of staff, the Black Hawks visited Atrium Villa on Main Street East in Hamilton. Atrium Villa is a retirement home and the staff thought it a good idea to have us, as well as other groups, visit the residents with our bikes. We were both pleased and hounored to attend. It was an excellent day and the staff on hand treated us very well. There were hot dogs, burgers and refreshments for everyone who attended. It was great to meet some of the residents and talk to them about our bikes and their pasts. Some of them were riders as well and enjoyed sitting on our bikes and having a picture taken. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we plan to make this an annual event with the permission of the Villa staff and residents, of course. Below are some shots of that day. Enjoy.

2007
This year was even more fun with the residents at the Villa. As you will notice from our pictures, things were a bit different this year. We were delighted and honoured to take some of the residents for a ride on our bikes. The smiles and laughter were non-stop. Some of them didn’t want to get off the bikes and it took a bit of coaxing to get some on, but every one of them had a good time as did we. We were extremely excited to make a new friend at the Villa. The Honourable Lincoln Alexander (Linc) was in attendance and participated in the fun. He is now a Honouray member of the Black Hawks.
